Mutxamel (Muchamiel in Castilian) is one of the residential lungs of the Alicante metropolitan belt: a municipality with a historic huerta that has grown over recent decades thanks to its climate, calm and proximity to central Alicante (15 minutes away). The Bonalba urbanisation, with its 18-hole golf course, lies in its territory and is home to a stable community of British, Dutch, Belgian and French residents.
