Turnarounds
How long an urgent sworn translation actually takes
There are four turnarounds, each with its own per-page price, VAT included: economy (5 working days), standard, urgent (24 hours) and express (same day). There is no separate rush surcharge — the turnaround price already covers it, so what you see in the quote tool is what you pay.
Why we give a date, not a range
"Within 24-48 hours" is no use when you are filing against a deadline. The quote tool calculates the delivery date from your actual document — its length and the turnaround you pick — and shows it before you pay, taking the working calendar into account. If the date does not work for you, you can switch turnaround right there and see the new date before confirming.
What makes a sworn translation take longer
Length is the main factor: billing is per 400-word page, and a fifteen-page academic transcript does not close in the same time as a one-page birth certificate. Two other things weigh on it:
- How legible the original is. A skewed, shadowed or low-resolution scan forces manual transcription of whatever cannot be read. A sharp, flat photo of the complete document shortens the turnaround.
- A missing document. If the procedure requires the apostille and you upload it later, the clock starts when it arrives.
If you need it today
Upload the document and see which turnarounds the quote tool offers for your specific case: express availability depends on the time of day and the day of the week, so the reliable answer is the one the quote tool gives at that moment, not a blanket promise on a web page. If no turnaround reaches your deadline, write to us before paying and we will tell you whether it is possible.

Common questions
Questions about urgent turnarounds
Is an urgent sworn translation just as valid?
Yes. It is signed by the same MAEC-authorised translator and carries her certification, stamp and authorisation number. The turnaround changes nothing about its legal validity.
What is the fastest turnaround?
Express, delivered the same day. Its availability depends on the time and day you order, so the quote tool will tell you whether it is available for your case and on exactly what date.
Is there a rush surcharge on top of the price?
No. Each turnaround has its own per-page price with VAT included, and no separate surcharge is added.
I have already paid and need it sooner — can I change turnaround?
Write to us as soon as you can with your order number. Depending on how far along the translation is there may be room; we will tell you what is possible and what the difference would be.
Does the turnaround start when I pay or when I upload the document?
When the order is paid and all documents are uploaded. If a file is missing, the clock starts when the last one arrives.
